"Walk in Christ, rooted and BUILT UP IN HIM and established in the faith."
~ Colossians 2:6-7
Students will have the opportunity to explore/research the history behind their name, and write a mini-research paper.
In this unit, the students will pick an exceptionality of their choice and complete a "full-blown" research paper, including citations, transitions, notecards, source cards, works cited pages, title pages, etc. There will also be an opportunity for a presentation if time allows.
Students will study Edgar Allan Poe's life and take a look at a few of his most famous stories.
Students will have the opportunity to read many different "short" stories, and then discuss their themes in class.
At the beginning of every week, students will be given a list of Latin/Greek roots to be studied independently throughout the week. On Friday, students will take a short quiz based on the list they were given. Lists will be located in Google Drive each week.
