Last Week:

6th Grade ~ Last week, the 6th graders presented their very first book trailers and did FABULOUSLY! I was SO impressed with how well the students did, and cannot wait to see what the next 2 years will bring! Definitely the best 6th grade book trailers I've ever seen! Grades can be see on Seesaw as well as RenWeb. Monday through Wednesday, the students worked on their final project for DGDP, which was a Pinterest board project for a character. The students then presented their projects on Thursday and Friday. On Friday, we set some 2020 goals. In grammar, the students continued to work with PNAs and did a worksheet.

7th Grade ~ Last week, the 7th graders presented their book trailers and did VERY well! I was impressed with their hard work and effort on these projects. Grades can be see on Seesaw as well as RenWeb. On Monday and Tuesday, the 7th graders watched clips of famous speeches and we discussed what made them good speeches. The students then took a quiz on the different speech techniques and did pretty well. On Wednesday/Thursday, the students reviewed what we have learned so far in advanced grammar via a game/review worksheet. On Friday, I introduced the 7th graders to impromptu speeches; those speeches will actually happen today and tomorrow!

8th Grade ~ Last week, the 8th graders presented their book trailers and did VERY well! I was impressed with their hard work and effort on these projects. Grades can be see on Seesaw as well as RenWeb. On Monday, the students worked with list 13 of Latin/Greek roots and took a quiz on Thursday. Throughout the week, the 8th graders read Part 3 of TBT, and did some accompanying activities: a journal prompt and a quiz. In grammar, the students discussed your/you're and their/there/they're and did a worksheet.

Have a wonderful week!

Grace
